1. For the silent auction, please legibly print your name, phone number and amount of your bid on the bidding sheet that is next to or under the displayed item.

2. For both the silent and live auction, the minimum bid applies and cannot be altered. In the silent auction, bids may be raised by entering information on the next line – a bid MAY NOT be raised by changing an earlier bid. In both auctions, bids must be made and raised by whole dollars. Some items may have minimum amounts for raising bids, as well as minimum bids.

3. Silent auction bidding will close in three lots at approximately 8:30 p.m., 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The live auction and the live music will not be interrupted to close bids. (It will seem a little like musical chairs.) A drum roll or other musical sound will signal the close of the silent auction lots, along with announcements. The event chair will make all final decisions on winning bids.

4. Successful bidders are encouraged to pay when their bids are closed, or at 9:30 p.m. when the last flight closes. All bidders must pay for and pick up auction purchases by 10:30 p.m. Payment may be made in cash, by check or by Visa or MasterCard. Pick up silent auction bid sheets at the cashier, pay, and show bid sheet and receipt to pick up items.

5. If you are a winning bidder but leave before the auction closes, you are still responsible to pay for the item. Please check to see if you are the top bidder before you leave.

6. Bidders are fully responsible for accepting items “as is.”

Remember, this is a game. Have fun! The purpose of the auctions and the SCV Wine Classic is to raise funds for two very worthwhile causes. The higher you bid, the more money the charities receive. Thank you for attending!

The SCV Wine Classic is a charitable event benefiting the SCV Youth Orchestra and the Santa Clarita Symphony. Both groups are 501(C)(3) non-profit organizations; SCV Youth Orchestra Fed. ID #95-4056744, Santa Clarita Symphony Fed. ID #95-4809125.
